Hi Andrea,

While Ankit has done a good job during SoC, I don't think I'm yet
ready to vouch for him. Many SoC students promised to stick around
around their project but not all of them do and since Ankit has had no
GNOME involvement before this summer, I'd advice him to apply again in
6-12 months.

I agree. FWIW Ankit seems really motivated and has offered help with some
GSoC automation scripts outside his SoC. I think he'll stay and get the
membership sooner or later.

Still I think we should establish a policy of maybe waiting a few months
after the GSoC before a student is eligible for Foundation Membership or so,
so people don't feel bad if they're rejected before end of SoC because
there's simply a rule, I.e. something non personal. Just an idea at the

+1 to that idea but we need to make it clear that it only applies to
students whose first contribution to GNOME was part of their SoC
project (including the application period).
