the largest universities in China) and began to promote Linux and open source in SWU.
In May 2010, I got the sponsor of IBM Corporation and held the IBM-SWU Wonderful Linux Journey which is
almost the biggest open source event in west China cities in few years.

In July 2010 I helped to rebuild the Linux Society of Chongqing University of Posts and Communications.
In Feb 2011 I founded the Chongqing GNOME User Group. And began to hold open source events in name of GNOME.
In later 2 months, I began to build websites http://www.cqgug.org(now it has benn transferred to
gnome.swu.edu.cn), http://www.linuxstory.org, http://www.lug.org.cn, http://linux.swu.edu.cn,
http://gnome.swu.edu.cn and some open source mirrors.
In April 2011 I founded the Chongqing Linux User Group, and began to hold regular open source activities in
this city. We do a thing bringring open source thinking way and spirit to universities in Chongqing. We
united the four major universities in Chongqing, including Chongqing University, Southwest University,
Chongqing University of Posts and Communications and Sichuan University of Foreign Language. We encourage and
attract the students to know, be familiar with and participate in GNOME and open source projects.

In May 2012, I participated the GNOME.Asia 2012 in Hong Kong. This is the first time for me to attend
GNOME.Asia and international open source event. I began to know Max Huang, BinLi, and many good friends of
open source from Beijing, Taiwan, HK, Vietnam, And this event became a new start of my open source way, I
must give my much thanks to GNOME.Asia and so many GNOME friends, Thanks very much.

From August 2013, I began to work in Beijing, and I have more chance to contribute to open source, before
this year I roles as an Android Smartphone PM in Acer, since Aug 2013, I do marketing, media relationships
and public relations in Acer. I trust I can and want to do more for GNOME.

It really a great honor if I can be a member of GNOME Foundation. It will empower me to do more to make more
contribution and I will try my best to offer anything I can do. I hope I can have the opportunity to join
this big family.

Thank you!
