I've attended GUADEC for the past few years and I've probably met many of you. It wasn't until the GNOME 
Foundation AGM yesterday (Tuesday, 9 Aug) and from an earlier conversation I had with Stormy that I realized 
that the foundation was/is attempting to increase membership. So I figured applying was the right thing to do.
