Dear Matthias, Bastien and Jens,

the GNOME Membership Committee is about to process Peter Hutterer's
application to become a GNOME Foundation Member and therefore
we would like to receive some feedback about him and his GNOME-related
work.(past and present contributions are usually fine)

Hey Andrea,

Peter is member of the Red Hat desktop team, working mostly on X input.
He has also done the release management for at least one recent X.org
release. He is interested in getting his foundational input work on the
X layer (such as XInput2, multitouch, etc) 'to the user' by adding the
necessary support in the higher layers of the desktop.

His direct GNOME contributions include patches to support touchpads in
gnome-settings-daemon and gnome-control-center, as well as reviewing the
XI2 branch of GTK+ (that we are trying to merge this cycle) and giving
advice on input-related matters in GTK+.

I support his application.

As Matthias mentioned.

Cheers
