Summary:
I've
* made two patches to gnumeric
* made a very basic patch to gtk+ to fix documentation
* written documentation on the
* Helped new people on irc find help with their trouble or question

Detailed description:
I learned some of the gobject system by adding a few new widgets to gnumeric a while back (since then, I
wrote a joke component, Pony (no, you cannot actually instantiate one), and have used glib rather extensively
in a few of my day-job projects).

Beyond that, I've tried to help contribute documentation and help new users, in order to improve the gnome
and linux experience.

I've also been informed that bikeshedding on #gnome-hackers is a nontrivial contribution to GNOME. ;)

I'm ramping up involvement in GNOME now that my PhD is behind me, and this application is part of that effort.

I am working in theoretical physics, which brings perhaps a different perspective to the table. I have a
special interest in integration with GPUs and beowulf clusters, and helping make use of such resources if
they're available.
