Summary:
Maintained gtkglarea widget since 2005, developed and maintained gtkglarea-sharp c# bindings to gtkglarea,
assisted debian maintainer of gtkglarea and gtkglarea-sharp with packaging the libraries for lenny, providing
support for gtkglarea* on #mono, minor documentation fixes to jhbuild, support mono & gtk# users on #mono
since 2003, irregularly support gtk+ users on #gtk+, various bug filing, working with linux.conf.au to get an
irc server in .au, advocacy.
Detailed description:
I've been using gtk+ as a developer since around 2000 and loitering on irc.gimp.net since around the same
time. Around that time, I began building a 3D modeler that I ended up calling "Jenkara." In 2004 or so, I
decided to re-write the modeler in C#, but first I had to write a c# binding for the (then un-mainained)
gtkglarea library. I've been maintaining these libraries and providing support on #mono. I also provide a
bit of gtk# support there as I can.
I'd like to see the OpenGL infrastructure become a first-class citizen in gtk+ one of these days, but I
haven't had a lot of spare time to put into the effort. I've recently started getting my business off the
ground and may be able to find some time to put toward this effort in the near future.
In addition to this project, I've been using the GNOME desktop and reporting bugs, fixing docs, and generally
just being involved. I also say nice things about the community and the technology on my blog every now and
then. Oh, I also write articles about how to write software using the GNU build system every now and then,
but that's not really specific to GNOME.
