Dear Seif and Sanford,

The GNOME Foundation Membership Committee needs more information to
process the application of David Siegel. Since [he/she] has listed
you as the primary contact, the committee would like you to list the
contributions that David Siegel has made for the GNOME community in
recent times. Your input will be greatly appreciated to help us to make
a fair and informed decision in the granting or denying the applicant as
a foundation member.

Big win for GNOME Foundation! David is the creator and lead developer
of GNOME Do, the single greatest UI innovation for GNOME in the last
few years. He and his team have worked to make Do a good citizen in
the GNOME community. It uses GTK+ theme, and offers interoperability
with core GNOME apps like Tomboy, Evolution, and Rhythmbox, while also
integrating well with dozens of other apps. Do has a thriving
community of plugin developers, who are often new to Linux and open
source, and gradually start contributing to GNOME and other projects,
so it's a great incubator for contributors.

In addition, David is working with Seif on GNOME Zeitgeist, which
shows that he cares about GNOME 3.0.

It can only help to keep David tied as closely to GNOME as possible,
so please make him a Foundation member! ;-)

Sandy
