Summary:
Beagle, Gentoo packaging

Detailed description:
* Contribute to the Beagle project
  . Started working non-trivially on Beagle in Google Summer of Code in 2006, writing a Xesam adaptor
  . Continued to contribute to the adaptor and Beagle as a whole subsequently (updates to the Epiphany
extension, fixes to libbeagle)

* Part of the Gentoo GNOME Desktop project
  . I started by splitting the gnome-python, gnome-python-desktop, gnome-python-extras packages into their
component packages, so that the dependency trees of a whole lot of packages come down significantly
  . Now work with the GNOME desktop team to maintain packages for GNOME releases and related packages
  . Some patches accepted upstream (Anjuta, EOG)

* Promote GNOME in India
  . Helped promote GNOME at FOSS.IN (2007, 2008)
  . Organised GNOME talks/hackfests as well as a stall for advocacy at FOSSKriti (2008, IIT Kanpur's F/OSS
event)
