"I met GNOME for the really first time in version of 1.2 running on an old RedHat installation. I was using
KDE for about two years (think my last version was 2.2) but GNOME appeared to be much cleaner and more useful
for me so I've switched and I'm happy :)
First things I did for GNOME was translating several apps into czech like sakura VTE terminal, GNOME-sshman,
alacarte (but ubuntu finished it before my release) and terminal server client (tsclient).
Later I became a member of Gnome Art community. I did some patches for art.gnome.org web (with thos and
benzea) and I was doing moderator's work at AGO for several months. Unfortunately thos became deeply involved
in control center and benzea has always a lot of work with gtk engines so this team broked up and I don't
feel experienced enough to lead Gnome Art development by myself (but I'm always ready to help) and I also
have less time than before.
During this period in AGO i did czech translation of GNOME Color Chooser and gtk-engines package and I
visited GUADEC for the first time.
It looked bad with Czech translation for 2.22 so I (looking for another job I can do for GNOME) became a
member of broken czech l10n and since about january I'm working on GNOME translations under new leadership of
Petr Kovar.
I'm QA Contact for bugs in czech translation and I'm trying to killing all cs bugs in l10n. If free time you
can meet me online on IRC (mostly at #gnome, #gnome-art, #gnome-cz, #epiphany) ready to help newbies or at
GNOME support Forums.
I'm also working on czech translation of vinagre and epiphany manual and I hope I'll finish more than this
before 2.24."
