---------------
I am very passionate about Gnome. I believe that Gnome remains a highly relevant and advanced environment
for Libre software based computing. That power coupled with the elegance, attention to detail, and focus on
the user experience makes Gnome an extremely compelling project.
I've been getting more involved with Gnome for about a year now. Though the areas that I am making the most
contributions may be seen by some to be trivial parts of gnome as a whole, the work that I have done upon
them (GnomeMud in particular) I would not consider trivial. I am actively trying to get more involved with
other aspects of the project.
I am active on irc and hopefully a few people recognize me by now.
Honestly I've considered myself part of Gnome the moment I first started contributing, and this was further
cemented with my cvs commit access. I would enjoy Gnome itself recognizing me as a member. I have a lot to
bring to the table, and it would be an honor to be more involved with such a generous and great group of
people.
Sri recommends that I tell you that I'm a "dangerous person and you'll commit stuff if you don't get
recognized."
So hopefully it doesn't come to that! ;)
In seriousness, thank you all for your time and for your consideration.
Best regards, Les
