Dear Elijah,

The GNOME foundation membership committee needs more information to
process the application of Bruno Boaventura de Oliveira Lacerda. Since
the applicant has listed you as the primary contact, the committee would
like you to list the contributions that Bruno Boaventura de Oliveira
Lacerda has made for the GNOME community in recent times. Your input
will be greatly appreciated to help us to make a fair and informed
decision in the granting or denying the applicant as a foundation member.

Bruno has been providing numerous patches to fix small problems here
and there in metacity. A quick search shows that 7 such patches have
been committed already. There are probably more in bugzilla, and he'd
probably provide even more, but I've been so swamped with my
dissertation that I haven't had time to review patches recently (or do
much of anything else with metacity).

I don't know what the exact threshold is for membership. However, I
will say this: If these contributions are somewhat borderline as far
as being enough to gain membership, I'd argue that he should be
granted it. He is relatively new, but has shown quite a bit of
initiative in the short amount of time he has been around, from
providing lots of patches, to trying to understand and respond to
other bugs, to even trying to help review the patches of others. He
seems motivated and helpful, and I'd hate to kill his motivation any
more than I have already done (by not reviewing his patches very
timely), which I'm afraid rejecting his application might do.

Just my $0.02,
Elijah
