re: GNOME Membership Application of John Richard Williams

Hello Sankarshan,

Yes, I would recommend John Williams for the foundation. John has
been primarily been active in the GNOME Journal and GNOME Marketing
teams lending his expertise in helping to market both GNOME Journal
and GNOME Desktop.

In particular, John has been active on marketing-list and in
#marketing using his extensive background as an academic in marketing
in helping us formulate a marketing plan for GNOME.

You will find a lot of John's involvement in the GNOME wiki under
MarketingTeam.

John started probably the beginning this year, and his involvement
has been steadily increasing over the past couple of months.
I'm particularly happy since I was one of the people who help
get John interested in GNOME through the GNOME Journal project.
It was at my suggestion that he apply to the GNOME foundation so
that he can continue to engage further with GNOME Marketing. (eg
cvs account, and various other things)

Let me know if you have any other questions for me.

Dear Sriram,

The GNOME foundation membership committee needs more information to
process the application of John Richard Williams. Since he has listed
you as the primary contact, the committee would like you to list the
contributions that John Richard Williams has made for the GNOME
community in recent times. Your input will be greatly appreciated to
help us to make a fair and informed decision in the granting or denying
the applicant as a foundation member.

At your service,
