Detailed description:
I have been an active member on the gnome-marketing email list, the #marketing IRC channel and the 
live.gnome.org wiki.   I have been involved,  mainly with Sriram Ramakrishna, with planning surveys of GNOME 
users and GNOME developers.

I am a marketing academic who specialises in market research.  I want to help market GNOME.  Because of my 
academic background I have access to grant funding for market research.  I would probably frame such research 
as something along the lines of disruptive technology adoption or innovation in IT.
