Years have passed and we have not been given any real information on the

the lack of information, such as lack of time or the need for privacy,
do not appear to me as real stumbling blocks.

I disagree. The foundation is a non-profit organization and all of
it's tax filings are publicly available via guidestar.

This is interesting! This is the first time I seen this reference after at least 2 years on the mailing list.
Should it not be made known more publicly or did I just miss the obvious.

But to be just more transparent,  there should be some breakdowns in terms of broad headings of the main
items of expenditure and sources of revenue. Like example, GUADEC III expenditure/income summary.
Bearing in mind that we have started charging conference fees, it is not unreasonable to have account
summary presented to members.

Tim, Jonathan and I have met from time to time to discuss
improving the transparancy of the finances and made changes to the
accounting process to help improve things. Things could certainly
be clearer, but I don't see a major problem.

What specific information are you looking for that is not already
publicly available ?
