Hey,
Why doesn't the foundation press link just go to that URL? Why do we
have two press release pages? "GNOME" will never make a press release
that the "foundation" doesn't make.
That sounds fine with me. It does appear the press releases were just
being copied between the two pages. Any Foundation specific press
releases will just be put on the main gnome.org site. We should also
add the gnome press contact to the gnome.org press release page. I
will change the link in the navigation table if this sounds good.
Yeah, this sounds like a good idea to me too ;) You can add Leslie
Proctor <proctors pacbell net>, although I'm thinking that maybe
something like gnome-marketing gnome alias would be a better approach,
and then subscribe anyone interested to that alias. I think we have a
marketing list already, right? May need someone to go through and remove
all the dead people on it though.
I've changed the foundation webpages so the link in the navigation bar
will point to http://www.gnome.org/pressreleases.html instead of
http://foundation.gnome.org/press.html. I need Steve to change the
page http://www.gnome.org/pressreleases.html. There needs to be the
press contact information displayed there similar to what is at the
bottom of http://foundation.gnome.org/press.html. Can you do this
Steve?
I talked with Greg and he said there used to be a
gnome-marketing gnome org mailing list , but currently there is
nothing. Just the gnome-press-contact gnome org alias which goes to
Leslie and Tim. If the board and Leslie wants to revive the
gnome-marketing mailing list you won't have to remove much dead cruft.
