Summary:
Introduction of GNOME Telephony Application Services as a new package being developed for integration of
GNOME desktop software with small office business telephone systems.
Detailed description:
gtaps is being started as a project to provide a simple interface to help telephony enable existing GNOME
desktop applications. If one has a contact database or address book like in evolution, one should be able to
click on phone numbers and have your telephone dial! gtaps also will include a gnome applet that will do
screen pops as new telephone calls arrive. The initial development is being carried out in conjunction with
GNU Bayonne representing a model free software office phone system.
Contacts:
Tim Ney is familiar with the qtaps proposal and the background related to this application.
