meld error for large diffs?

- meld version: '1.3.2'
- source control software type: 'Mercurial'
- source control software version: 'X.Y.Z'
- the output of 'hg diff somefile.txt'
- patch command: 'patch --strip=1 --reverse --directory=/tmp/tmpLcw5Vi-meld'
(no need to actually run it, just provide
the command line)

matt stanley:~/cpfs$ hg version
Mercurial Distributed SCM (version 1.6.3)

It only seems to happen with really massive diffs. Changing hg
versions has no effect.
