Monotone plugin...

I've just started working with Meld, and I'd like to use it to browse
Monotone workspaces.  In the first workspace I pointed it at, though,
only directories are recognized as being under VC.  Is this a known
issue?

If there's no fix at present, I'd be very happy to volunteer to work
on it: I've been looking for a project to cut my teeth on with Python,
being a skilled developer in other languages, and Meld working well
with Monotone would be just the itch to scratch with Python.
