Right now in the CVS view I see the files I've locally modified but
there's no indication of which files have changed in the repository. Is
there a way to do a query update (cvs -n up) in meld to see what's changed
in the repository without actually updating? I must be missing something
here... Also is there then a way to do a diff against the HEAD version in
the repository?
Hi Eran, thats right. Meld wont connect to the repository unless
explicitly told to. Also there is no builtin way to compare against
CVS head. Partially this is beause it's too CVS-centric, partially
because I never work this way. I use viewcvs to watch changes as it's
much more powerful than a dumb client can be.
So far, I've resisted trying to make meld a "full" featured VC client
and in fact I'd love to see somebody start a spin off project with
this goal.
Stephen.
