meld and gtk

hello,
I'm trying to use meld on Gentoo linux.
But i get this error :
$ meld
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/meld", line 75, in ?
import gtk
ImportError: No module named gtk
i have installed pygtk :
* dev-python/pygtk

and meld

In my own python script import gtk works.
if somebody has an idea, thank you
i can mail a strace file if it helps
