meld and gtk



hello,

I'm trying to use meld on Gentoo linux.
But i get this error :
$ meld
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/meld", line 75, in ?
    import gtk
ImportError: No module named gtk

i have installed pygtk :
*  dev-python/pygtk
      Latest version available: 2.6.1
      Latest version installed: 2.6.1
      Size of downloaded files: 1,302 kB
      Homepage:    http://www.pygtk.org/
      Description: GTK+2 bindings for Python
      License:     LGPL-2.1

and meld 
*  dev-util/meld
      Latest version available: 1.0.0
      Latest version installed: 1.0.0
      Size of downloaded files: 297 kB
      Homepage:    http://meld.sourceforge.net/
      Description: A graphical (GNOME 2) diff and merge tool
      License:     GPL-2

In my own python script import gtk works.

if somebody has an idea, thank you

i can mail a strace file if it helps
