We understand that the big IT sellers must rely on contrived
obsolescence to boost their sales. So eg they replace the
century-old/ample ASCII single-byte <quote chars> by 3 bytes,
and claim it's to LOOK SO NICE.

Grafiti-artists who promote such disasters should keep to
M$hit !
