Previously I excused mc for failing to <Undelete a file> per man, probably
due to having an old version.
But it's also dud on a newish rPi installation with mc Version 4.8.3 !
-> fdisk -l
Disk /dev/mmcblk0: 7948 MB, 7948206080 bytes
...
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/mmcblk0p1 10 1799819 899905 b W95 FAT32
/dev/mmcblk0p2 1799820 15523649 6861915 83 Linux
"For example, to recover deleted files on the second partition of the
first SCSI disk on Linux, you would use the following path name:
undel://sda2"
=> undel://mmcblk0p2
== Cannot chdir to "/undel://mmcblk0p2"
What's wrong ?!
I set the relevant PC's partition to read-only, imediately after the
unintended file-delete, and now wanted to just test if/how UNdelete does work
on the rPi.
