In older versions of mc, If I want to copy `foo.ps' to `foo.ps.old', I
selected
*.old
as the target pattern (without modifying mc's default value `*' for
the source pattern). According to the help file, under `Mask
Copy/Rename -> Use shell patterns on', this should be still possible.
However, currently only
\1.old
as the target pattern works as expected. Using `*.old' creates a file
`.old' instead.
This looks like a bug.
