I'm dual-booting slack 13.0 and ubuntu 10.04
the following mailcap entry in mailcap on slack using
mc 4.7.0.6 (compiled)
text/html; firefox '%s'; nametemplate=%s.html; test=test
"$DISPLAY" != ""
allows me to hit <enter> on an .html file in MC and opens
a tab for that document in firefox.
On ubuntu 10.04, midnight commander was installed from
repositories and the version information is as follows
""""
GNU Midnight Commander 4.7.0
Virtual File System: tarfs, extfs, cpiofs, ftpfs, fish
With builtin Editor
Using system-installed S-Lang library with terminfo database
With subshell support as default
With support for background operations
With mouse support on xterm and Linux console
With internationalization support
With multiple codepages support
Data types: char 8 int 32 long 32 void * 32 off_t 64 ecs_char 8
""""
and the above mailcap entry does not work. What happens when I
hit <enter> on an html doc in MC on ubuntu is that the raw text of
the file is read to stdout (visible with Control-o shell).
Does anyone know how to make this feature work?
thanks
