Pasting text from SSH clients adds extra indent

This has been a problem for a long time (5+ years?) with MC, and I
finally got to posting it somewhere:
Pasting multi-line chunks of text in which some lines begin with
spaces, causes mcedit to indent subsequent lines.
I've noticed this in PuTTY and ZOC, two SSH clients/terminal emulator
for Windows. To reproduce, paste in a new file the text from this URL:
http://pastie.org/814124.txt
The result will look like this:
http://pastie.org/814144
Can someone confirm this behavior is wrong? If so, I'll file a ticket.
Best regards,
Dan
