wrong $PS1 parser fix: in which release?

Hi,

I found using my Ubuntu Karmic Koala that the command prompt in MC is weird. Searching for it lead me to this 
Ubuntu bug:

and then this MC ticket:

It has been apparently fixed 6 months ago but there is no milestone assigned to the ticket.

In which release is this fix expected to show up?
