Yes that's what I'd have tried:
 just 'echo' what works out-side mc.

BTW, I see there's a 'mail' option too.
It would be great for me to TX/RX mail via mc,
because I have a data-view of computing.
I.e. the file-system is the center, and the
applications are just 'slaves' to the data.

Does anybody use gmail, without a crappy web-based interface ?
