Hi guys, I'm looking for a function to show the diff between two files from within the mc on a shell. I did see something like that on Total commander and was wondering, if this is also possible with Midnight Commander. In best way, there should be a splitted window, that compare chosen files and highlight the changes. Searching for gave me no usable outcome, so I'm asking here ;)
You mean an a command which show a DIFF from a file in the left panel and a file from the right panel? This would be something like: ----[ '~/.mc/menu' ]---------------- D DIFF two files diff -Nurp %d/%p %D/%P |less ------------------------------------ Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening Michelle Konzack Systemadministrator 24V Electronic Engineer Tamay Dogan Network Debian GNU/Linux Consultant -- Linux-User #280138 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org/ ##################### Debian GNU/Linux Consultant ##################### Michelle Konzack Apt. 917 ICQ #328449886 +49/177/9351947 50, rue de Soultz MSN LinuxMichi +33/6/61925193 67100 Strasbourg/France IRC #Debian (irc.icq.com)
