screen corruption on Centos

Hi,

I use mc on RH7.3 over ssh, it works good;

but, when I try to use it on Centos, the mc screen is badly corrupted,
screen drawings are all over the place...

how to configure...?

MC 4.6.1 pre1a
Linux 2.6.9-42.0.3.EL #1 Fri Oct 6 05:59:54 CDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
