Bug in baseline mc 4.6.1

The following has been observed in a baseline 4.6.1 but NOT in one
patched with the 2007-01-04-16 tree patch:

With one or both panes expanded to full screen (Meta-T) and tabbing from
one pane to the other and back (Tab, Tab), the next keypress causes the
other pane to appear. The next movement of the selector bar sends it
back into hiding.

I have no idea when this bug went away. It does not appear to me in
4.5.50 (I did not have 4.5.55 source) or 4.6.0, both configured as close
to my 4.6.1 as possible.

I don't want to alarm anybody, but there is an excellent chance that the
Earth will be destroyed in the next several days. Congress is thinking
