Hi there,

how can I insert an 'carriage return' char with the internal editor?

CTRL-q and then CTRL-v give an '^V'

but

CTRL-q and then CTRL-m give only an 'm'

This is fixed in current CVS. You can type CTRL-q M or CTRL-q m to get ^M.
