I'm new to mc-devel so I thought I'd say hello. I've been using mc for a month or so and have recently started using fish shell too. Current support for fish subshell doesn't show a prompt, because the fish_prompt function is overridden to pass current path to mc. I've made a patch containing a change to allow a prompt to be used.
