JFYI, I've tested the patch with both versions. On Cygwin, OpenBSD and
Solaris I have glib-1.2. On Linux I'have glib-1.2 and glib-2.0, but the
configure script picks up glib-2.0.

I'll proceed with the Cygwin package then. Recently, there has been some
reports on the Cygwin list, that key handling in the current Cygwin
version of MC (4.5.55) broke. Some changes were made to Cygwin's
terminal handling code, which apparently triggered something in
MC-4.5.55's key handling code. MC 4.6.0 doesn't experience that
kind of breakage so it was getting more important to release it soon.
And I really don't want to fix version 4.5.55 now as 4.6.0 is out.
