Sorry for confusing your first and last names in the previous message :-(

Done.  canonicalize_pathname() wasn't checking that the second character 
is also '/' while checking for Qnet names.  That's why '/x86' was wrongly 
considered a Qnet name.
The loop happened when canonicalizing '/x86/..'
This bug has been in MC for years, and nobody has reported it so far.  I
also disabled detection of Qnet names under QNX Neutrino as you suggested.
