Hi,
I've just created a draft page to list companies selling services around
GNOME.
http://live.gnome.org/MarketingTeam_2fCommercialSupport
Rationale:
* End users, especially in the public sector or companies, may like to
find out if there's such support before they decide for a concrete
desktop solution.
* GNOME advocates can counter the often heard myths that there's no
support for FOSS solutions.
* By promoting commercial support companies around GNOME, we may
improve our contacts with them. That might be nice for a GNOME jobs page
at a later stage.
* A public list may also inspire others people in the world to start a
company (or add services) around GNOME based solutions in their country.
Comments welcome, especially any concerns that GNOME shouldn't do that.
In fact, I'd like to move this page to the regular GNOME pages later.
Cheers,
Claus
