[Mailman Site List] Organize GNOME mail lists page, please, thanks :)

Hi - thanks for your work on the gnome mailing lists. :)

That web page,
http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo

is _way_ less useful than it could be, bacuse it is only a list, with no grouping of related lists. This means people looking for information will give up, because it takes too long to find the right list. That means an information flow blockage, which means less progress. :(

The good news: it's easy to fix. First step would be to review the list, & find maybe 5-7 major categories the lists fall into, & then put the related lists together under a relevant heading.

Here's an example to guide you. Since I don't have time to search out a good example with many more lists.
http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists

Here's how Debian does it:
http://lists.debian.org/
http://lists.debian.org/users.html example: users

Note, that's a good start, but not great, because _all_ the Debian the lists should be listen on that first page - that would be the best way to enable people to quickly find the correct list that they are interested in.

So, the way I've just described, is probably the best way to make a proper organized list of mailing lists.

Also, this page
http://www.gnome.org/support/

has a section "Mailing Lists" - plural, but then only refers readers to the _one_ list. That section should have the link to the page with _all_ the lsts. So, that page needs an update too.

Do you think you could get this done? Any idea the time frame? Thanks :)
