Hi,
The glocale library - in its current state where LC_CTYPE and LC_MESSAGES are
implemented - has been imported into the giulia CVS. You access it through
cvs -d :ext:USERNAME cvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome checkout giulia
For glocale, you need to "./autogen.sh" before attempting to "./configure".
When regenerating the files in the cook directory, you'll need a 'msgfmt' from
the GNU gettext CVS. Link errors in the testsuite regarding gl_nl_langinfo are
currently normal. The lots of boilerplate infrastructure will soon be reduced
through use of gnulib-tool; I'm still fiddling with gnulib-tool to get it
ready for this task.
Anyway, you can start looking at cook/data.h and cook/read-glibc.h, and
think how a cook/read-cldr.h for reading CLDR XML would look like.
And of course, there's now enough room below giulia/ so that you can
pick your favourite component from http://live.gnome.org/LocaleProject
and implement it! :-)
Bruno
