I don't agree about anything being broken here. May be it's just an
issue about an incomplete API. As soon as there is a way to really
traverse the tree, 'get_content' can do the 'right' thing.
At the moment we seem to access private struct fields instead of using
the libxml API. We need to fix this somehow.
