No idea. I get these warnings too - so far they seem to be harmless.
What's your build environment (gcc, ld, automake, autoconf, libtoolize  
versions)?

BTW, please file a bug report at bugzilla.gnome.org. I thought it was  
already there but this does not seem to be the case.
