RE: [sigc] libsigc++ 1.0.4 under cygwin.....

First of all I would like to thank you for your fast reply,

The problem is that access from sourseforge is not possible....

For some reason whatever file I try to download from ANY mirror I get the
error ...the file can not be accessed!!!!

As if the link is not live!

ANy ideas were else can I fetch a tar of the old libsigc++???

About the code:

fwbuilder (www.fwbuilder.org) actually looks for sigc-config and if not
found the configure script ends....

..................
checking for glib-config... /opt/gnome/bin/glib-config
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.7... yes
checking for xml2-config... /usr/bin/xml2-config
checking for xmlSaveFormatFile... no
checking for xslt-config... /usr/bin/xslt-config
checking for sigc-config... no
configure: error: libsigc++ not present or not configured

thank you very much for your time.

1.0 is pretty old...

Hmmmm.... can you verify the file's content from different source, to make
sure you didn't get a borken archive?

I was maintaining a program that (with very few #ifdefs) compiled with both,

you might try your luck. Mostly it was that a few includes weren't available

with the newer version or vice versa.

In case compiling fails, show some code and we might be able to give you the

proper equivalent for 1.2.

good luck
