No, it's not broken, you just need to rebuild all of your GIRs/typelibs.
The reason you're having a problem with GdkPixbuf is because it
recently moved into it's own repo and no longer builds with Gtk,
likely. As far as I know, it's not possible for the new scanner to
output a size_t.
I won't argue against dual compatibility though.
