I think that was not exactly the question :)
U can customize a lot of commands in latexila (I modified the default build tools to NOT open the pdf, for
instance). There are xml files for commands/completion definitions in /usr/share/latexila, maybe there are
for default environments ?
Ah, the menu or toolbar item inserts \[ and \]. But it is not possible
to change it to insert $$. \[ and \] are better in LaTeX.
But if you really want $$, there is a simple keyboard "shortcut": press
two times "$".
Hope that helps,
Sébastien

Can I modify environment in LaTeXila?
For example, I want to replace the a mathematical environment "$$" on
"\[".
Is it possible?
No there is not a lot of refactoring tools in latexila.
On Linux/Unix, you can use command line tools, like sed, with a regular
expression (regex).
