This bug has already been reported:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=659129

And fixed (it's more a workaround) in the 2.2.1 version.

(The workaround was to remove the shortcut from the menu: Ctrl+space.)

Normally there will be an update to LaTeXila 2.2.2 for Ubuntu soon. But
you can use one of the PPA (see the web page for a link to the ppa).
