Hi everyone, 

We are looking into organizing the conference in the SF Bay Area again as a backup option since we've had some unforeseen things come up in Denver. It'd be great to have the conference before the next fiscal year, so the SF team is looking for a venue that could hold us around September 20th - 23rd. 

Rosanna, Neil, and I are looking for a venue and will be leveraging some of the work and organizational tools we were using when we made our last bid. I'm including a rough schedule for the organization timeline in this email, attached as a PDF, and I'm including some important key dates below. 

I'm also including some things we'll be using to organize ourselves below. If someone would like to join who isn't a part of it yet, please message me and I'll add you to our GitLab board, for example.

Important proposed deadlines

June 1st - Identify venue and propose to Board

June 20th - Finish LAS GNOME website and announce CfP + registration

Aug 1st - Paper acceptance emails

Sept 20 - 23rd - LAS GNOME conference in SF Bay Area

Organizational tools

LAS on GitLab - this is where we'll keep track of the tasks we have to do. Right now, some tasks are in the master org sheet and we'll need to make GitLab issues out of them. 

Master Org Sheet - this is where the schedule lives, and we're keeping info on possible venues, targeted attendees, targeted sponsors, etc.
