Sorry to hear that you can't join, Link. We'll miss you!

I should be able to join, and I also put some details on Denver's bid for LAS.

So, these are the details for the LAS session this weekend:
  • When: Saturday, Sept 30th from 11 am - 2:30 pm

  • Where: Endless Office: 575 Market Street, Suite 825. If you want to join us virtually, join us on the LAS Video Call [1]

  • What: We'll go over the LAS agenda [2] and we can order some lunch or grab a sandwich or salad next door. We can all walk over to Gott's to be there at 3 pm for the release party (3 - 5 pm).
@Sri, @Link, and anyone else on this las-gnome mailing list, please let me know asap if you want to join for part or all of the session via video call.

RE: SF 3.26 Release Party: it sounds like people are generally in favor of the scaled down approach. Since the Ferry Building is close to BART and has some kid-friendly things in it (e.g. ice cream), let's do that. @Cosimo, I'll cover your beer since it won't be as good as 21st Amendment's. :) I'm going to update the 3.26 Release Party details now on Facebook and the wiki.

Thanks and see you guys soon!

Best,
Nuritzi

Hi,

Scaled back is good, both for the meeting and for the party. Ferry Building is relatively BART accessible, which is a huge bonus.

Before I forget, what about GiNA for the name? Stands for GNOME in North America. So we could use it to describe whatever we wanted, eg. The GiNA Summit, The GiNA Conference, The GiNA Hootenanny, etc. (Alternately, it could stand for "GINA Is Not an Acronym" ;) )

Hi All,

This weekend is the date we originally set aside to meet up to do more active planning for LAS 2018 and also to hold our 3.26 Release Party.

Since Cosimo and I are leaving for an extended travel period for work the week after, we would really appreciate having at least one weekend day to finish packing. So, here's an updated proposal for what this weekend could look like.

Please let me know what you think and if the schedule would work for you. Thank you!!

Best,
Nuritzi

Meeting Logistics
  • When: Meeting: Saturday, Sept 30th from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
  • Where: Endless Office: 575 Market Street, Suite 825
  • Notes:
@Sri and anyone else interested in helping us plan can dial in via google hangout.

We can order in lunch at the office. After the meeting, we can head over to the release party together.

@Link - I'm happy to carpool up if you'd like and am happy to drive!

Release Party Logistics
I propose we scale this down, especially since we just had a 20th birthday party recently. Maybe we can do just a snacks and beer outing close by to where we are meeting. Thoughts? Also happy to go to Golden Gate Park later in the day, at 3:30 pm ish and keep the original corn hole + snacks + drinks plan.
  • When: Saturday, Sept 30th from 3 pm - 5 pm
  • Where: Gott's Roadside at the Ferry Building for beers and snacks

Proposed Agenda for Meeting
  • Bids: Evaluate bid from Montreal and put together a new bid for SF.
  • Wiki page: Set up a wiki page for the new event
  • Attendees: Continue identifying targeted attendees, create a template email to use for invitations
  • Prospectus: Collate sponsor material and give to new sponsorship committee
  • Website: see if we can implement the openSUSE one
  • GNOME Summit: Name the GNOME portion of the event
