BTW - I just did some targeted promotion to Linux groups using my LinkedIn network. FWIW, I think it's going to be harder to convince people to travel to the conference from the Bay Area :-/ I'm mostly trying to leverage my personal network since I'm not sure how efficient random emails to group organizers will be.
