Hi,

Kupfer should display some (hopefully) useful information when run with
--debug parameters.

Also, You can check what path is configured in system. Run in terminal:

python -c "import  xdg.BaseDirectory; print list(xdg.BaseDirectory.load_config_paths('kupfer'))"
