Thanks for creating the channel. Now that it exists, sure, let's make
it "official" and see if anyone is interested. IRC channels exist as
long as there is interest after all :-)

Nevertheless, I personally think the mailing list is better for reporting bugs or announcements, for there is a searchable archive. IRC will be good for casual bug hunts and chat.
