Great work! Ran almost flawlessly on a recent Gentoo install (which,  
admittedly, already had all the dependencies installed).
Just something minor: I didn't have zenity installed and it threw the  
"which: no zenity in..." message.

Also, should we check for dbus and hal so that people won't wonder  
why they can't see any devices?
