Re: [jokosher-devel] Jokosher 0.2 run script for testing

Great work! Ran almost flawlessly on a recent Gentoo install (which, admittedly, already had all the dependencies installed). Just something minor: I didn't have zenity installed and it threw the "which: no zenity in..." message.

Also, should we check for dbus and hal so that people won't wonder why they can't see any devices?

OK, gang, could you try downloading
http://jokosher.org/0.2/Jokosher0.2runscript and running it?

Outstanding are three things:
1. Write instructions on how to run the script for ordinary people
(for you guys I can just say "run it with bash")
2. Make it check for the build dependencies for gstreamer. At the
moment it doesn't do that, so if you don't have them it'll just fail
3. Make it cope with something going wrong. At the moment if it fails
it doesn't know that, so the next time you run it it thinks it
succeeded and tries to just run Jokosher

Thoughts, comments, and patches solicited.
