I haven't published the code anywhere because it was a prototype
rather than being properly usable. The other thing that stopped me
continuing at the time was that it requires multiple threads with
an
SMB context per thread and this caused libsmbclient to segfault at
the time. I think that bug has now been fixed.
I'll see if I can dig out my patches this weekend and/or look at
the
above bug.
I've also opened a subject on this topic on samba mailing-list.

I filed https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=773632 about the
read buffer size restriction problem.
It will need testing though.
